THE MAGAZINE
My experience as content director for Mixmag magazine in South America was one of the best of my career. In addition to writing several articles for the magazine, I had the opportunity to meet many artists from Latin America who make electronic music. It was an enriching and exciting experience, and I am grateful for every moment.
In addition, I had the opportunity to meet incredible people in the work team, who were very committed and efficient in their tasks. I really enjoyed working with the group in person and remotely... and I miss working as a team with them!! It was a unique experience in which I learned a lot about teamwork and project management, which has been very valuable for my professional career.
During my time as content director for Mixmag magazine in South America, I not only dedicated myself to writing articles and meeting artists from all over the region, but I was also able to expand the magazine's presence on social networks. By taking this job, I started building a personal Facebook profile from scratch in parallel with the magazine's Facebook page, Instagram and official website.
What followed was something truly impressive. In just two weeks, I surpassed 5,000 friends on my personal Facebook profile, proving to me that there were a huge number of people across Latin America who not only enjoy electronic music, but are also eager to connect and share. their experiences around it.
This allowed me to see the huge potential a social media presence had for Mixmag magazine, and as the Facebook page and Instagram began to gain followers and traction, the magazine was able to connect with an even larger audience. However, with this increased exposure also came a deluge of messages and content, which meant I had to make strategic changes to be able to respond to all of them.
Unfortunately, however, I had to leave the project against my will. There was a lot to do and I really liked the job, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to continue. It was a difficult decision, but necessary.
Despite this, what I took away from the experience was invaluable. I met amazing and talented artists, discovered new sounds and trends in electronic music, and learned a lot about publishing and content management. For a person who has been working in the world of music for years and being very identified with the tribes belonging to Rock, I feel deeply grateful for the way in which I was received in the electronic music community of Latin America. Thank you infinite for that.
If I learned anything from this experience, it is that in life there are always ups and downs, but the important thing is how you face them and how you learn from them. I will always be grateful for the opportunity I was given at Mixmag and for everything I learned during my time there. It was one of the most valuable of my career, and although I had to leave the project, and put the profiles on the networks on standby, I will always carry with me what I have learned and I will value it as a unique and unforgettable experience.
SMOOTH OPERATOR
Working in radio was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I had in my career. From the beginning, when I started to do some programs and score segments, until the moment I got to score entire radio stations, I learned a lot and enjoyed every moment.
The radio marked my career and my life in an incomparable way. From the first time I walked into a radio booth, I knew I was in the right place.
At Rock&Pop I learned about mixing rock music, and being a part of the station I had always listened to was a dream come true. Being able to meet the people who fed my ears throughout my adolescence was a dream that I was able to fulfill and words are not enough to define it. In addition, I was able to work with a team of super creative people who were never afraid to experiment and who, above all, understood that radio is a magical medium that allows you to invent worlds that last only moments. To this day, these people continue to be my greats. friends and I feel very lucky for that.
At FM Millenium, I discovered the music of the 80s, a segment very little explored by me until then, and I also met people who have been in the music industry since before I was born, which helped me broaden my vision of the world. From music, from those people I took away, above all, the teaching that the media are supported by large salespeople on the phone.
But my real adventure started at M90, where I had the opportunity to create a radio from scratch. From the artistic to the programming, everything was tailored to me. I looked for a niche audience for young people and teenagers that would combine rock, melodic punk, Britpop and hip hop during the day, and electronic music at night. It was a unique experience that I enjoyed every minute.
In addition to putting music on programs and segments, I learned to edit commercials, schedule commercial sessions, and work with different announcers, DJs, and journalists in the city. I heard a lot of music that I didn't know and I met a lot of amazing people from the team.
I will never stop loving the radio. Although I love being a DJ in clubs and bars and I am passionate about graphic media, radio is my eternal and unconditional love and my favorite medium.
I will always be grateful for the opportunities and experiences that radio has given me. I will never stop loving radio, because it is a medium that allows me to connect with the audience and share my passion for music with all listeners.
